Well-known open source chat client for Mac OS X “Adium”, it support multiple multiple IM protocols (including Windows Live Messenger, Google Talk and Facebook) has been given its first update in a year and a half, bringing it up to version 1.5. New version support for the new version of Growl 1.3, it lets you to chat notifications easily from any part of OS X.
Don’t worry if you don’t use Growl, this version has its own notification system, nicknamed ”Mist” so you can stay up-to-date with minimum effort. New version adds support for 64-bit Macs too, transcript viewer which saves conversation, has been given an overhaul with a speedier.
New ”Next” and ”Previous” buttons, so many icons and buttons have been redesigned. You can get it free via Adium’s website, it requires 64-bit support, you need to update any plug-ins installed, which can be done via the Xtras page of Adium’s website. It requires Mac OS X 10.6.8 or above.
