After a long wait, finally the iPhone 5 has been launched, we saw a lot of rumors, leak reports and much more before the release but finally the Apple has just launched the 6th generation iPhone in a event at San Francisco, it’s not very different from leak reports, I wanted just one think, the changing of design, and I’m glad to see new iPhone 5 that is bit bigger than iPhone 4S but slimmer than too. Apple has updated the design and packed the phone with an impressive punch of specs and features that make it a best competitor of Android devices such the Samsung Galaxy S3.
Design
The first thing you see is the design that is more beautiful than previous iPhone, Apple has increased the size and Apple made the phone body totally with aluminum glass that is really great. The new iPhone features widescreen 4-inch display, yes Retina Display that already has been used in third generation iPad, it features 1136 x 640 with a pixel density 326PPI. It’s very thin and looks gorgeous in hands. The iPhone 5 has 44% more color saturation than iPhone 4S, the touch sensor make the phone more advanced.
Hardware
The iPhone 5 weight is 112 grams and it’s 7.6mm thicker, the back is two-toned that is divided in 2 parts that is made by metal. Hardware are really impressive, Apple packed the new iPhone with an A6 processor that is two time more fast than previous iPhone 5, which means, it will load every content very quickly.
The main thing in iPhone 5 is that it supports 4G LTE support, so you’re able to see marked improvements in stream anything you want such as HD videos. Its Wi-Fi support two bands that are 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz.
Camera
To make photographers happy, Apple added 8 megapixel rear facing camera that can record video with 3264 x 2448 resolution and the front camera can record 720p HD videos, you can use the front camera for couple of things such as 720p FaceTime HD, backside illumination, face detection, FaceTime over cellular networks.
It has now a new Panorama mode that allow you to capture wide landscapes with ease and you can save the photos at a 28-megapixels resolution, when you need to set a Panorama photo, simply sweep your scene to take the photo, nice. Now it features dynamic low light mode, precision lens alignment, Sapphire crystal”, the main thing about the camera design is that it’s 25& smaller camera.
Photo capturing speed is really fast, it’s 40% faster than the iPhone 4S, and the low light performance also has been improved. The camera detect up to 10 faces in one video and you can also take photos while you are recording a video. When you pan photos, it takes slices of images, stitches them all together.
Other
Apple also has improved the battery that now gives 8 more hours, you can now live without the charger for more hours. iPhone5 has a new smaller dock connector that is well-matched with the USB 3 that is almost 10 time more fast than the USB 2 30-pin and Apple named it “Lightning”.
Apple also refreshed the headphones, the new iPhone 5 comes with new Earpod headphones that will give you a new experience for audio files.
OS and Apps
As we expected that the iPhone runs latest Apple mobile operating system, the iOS 6. Apple has updated the iPhoto, iMovie, Garageband, and other apps, legacy apps run centered with black boarders on the sides.
Some Other Things – Price and Models
As usual, we can expect that it would be available in three modes, 16GB, 32GB, and 64GB. I has seen five back colors for iPhone 5, white, black, blue, red and yellow. What you expect price? It’s not too expensive, the 16GB model costs $199, the 32GB model costs $299 and the last 64GB model costs $399 with two year contract.
The iPhone 5 would be up for pre-order on September 14th and will ship on September 21st and it would be available in United States, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Australia, Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore. Apple will take the new phone to other countries after 28th September.
